New Zealand

New Zealand is a small country, with a population size of about four million people. Known for its spectacular natural wonders – from ancient glaciers, towering fiords, lush rainforests, geothermal activity, golden sand beaches, rolling green hills and a plethora of flora and fauna species – it’s easy to see why the country is such a popular tourist destination.

New Zealand covers two main islands, both offering completely different sights and landscapes. I spent five years living amidst Lord of the Rings territory – Queenstown, which is also famous for its adrenaline-pumping activities, mountain biking, hiking adventures and brilliant winter snow sports.

The weather varies throughout the regions, and the seasons are quite dramatic – especially in the South Island. Central Otago turns into a golden paradise in autumn, and a winter wonderland just a few months later.

Take a look at some of the activities, landscapes and unique accommodation options I've discovered in this beautiful country.
